IRC #olimex 2018-06-03

[21:33:04] <jcstaudt> Hi all, how active is this channel?
[21:35:15] <lukas2511> Active enough to still exist, not active enough to be a pure fountain of fun
[21:36:39] <dddddd> log archive https://www.olimex.com/irc
[21:42:10] <jcstaudt> I see. Ideally I would like to discuss GitHub repo questions prior to making PRs, etc, and it's bad form to create an issue just to elicit a discussion. Would the OLIMEX forum be suitable for getting feedback from the repo members?
[21:43:18] <jcstaudt> Thanks for the link @dddddd
[21:43:23] <lukas2511> jcstaudt: yea, seems like a better place than irc
[21:45:08] <lukas2511> here it's mostly quick questions/answers or general discussion and i think there currently are no olimex staff around
[21:47:37] <jcstaudt> Hm, ok. Some of the questions I have involve confusing duplication in several repos, and I don't see a place to have general GitHub dev comms in the forum. Maybe I can shoot an email to them to add a general dev topic in the forums.
[21:48:23] <jcstaudt> I could be much more useful with contributions and PRs with a small amount of feedback from the team.
[21:49:33] <jcstaudt> So far they added me as a collaborator to the TERES repo, but I need to span several repos.
[21:50:27] <jcstaudt> Tsvetan is reasonably responsive in the GitHub issue tracker, at least.
